I'd like to know what custom function settings do you find most useful on your Elan 7, in particular 8, 11, 12, which is where I'm having difficulty. Thanks. Michael ******************************************* These are the custom function settings I use most often: CF1-1 to increase film rewind speed (always on) CF2-1 when I want to switch films mid-roll CF4-1 when using an FTM lens without my external flash. CF11-1: I like being able to select the focus point merely by using the buttons in the quick dial. I never use CF8 because I am almost positive that I would be confused as to which focus point is being metered. Besides, I use the center focusing spot about 90% of the time, and CF8 serves no purpose in that mode. As for CF12, I don't think CF12 and CF 11 were meant to be used with each other. With CF11-1, the center focus point is, at most, two button pushes away, so CF12 wouldn't solve any problems.
