Hi Tom and Michael, My Canon 430EZ Speedlite functions in A-TTL mode on my Elan 7E. At least the full-auto A-TTL works, but the distance-warning function does not (just like on every EOS body since the EOS 630). *********************************** Julian, What I meant to write was that with an Elan 7 and an *EX series* external flash, you can only use E-TTL , not A-TTL or TTL. At least that is what the manual for my 420EX seems to imply. Sorry for the confusion.
