Tom,

Just think of the ABCs.....

Adorama has a decent reputation, I have no experience with them
B&H has a great reputation and I have bought from them and do not hesitate to
        recommend them.
Camera World of Oregon is also respected.  My one experience with them was
        satisfactory.

Beware of low prices and remember that the price and the cost of something  are
not necessarily the same thing.  Watch out for extremely high S&H charges found
a lot with low prices.  My experience with B&H is that the price is good and
the S&H is reasonable.

If you are serious about photography you might consider another lens.  If price
is very important, consider the Canon EF 28-105mm.  Pretty good consumer lens.
