Cover it with a piece of fully exposed and developed piece of B&W film
(completely black). The silver will stop the IR.
Using a piece of E-6 unexposed and developed is not such a good idea, since
it act as a IR filter, hence it lets IR light hit your metallic back and
bounce back, causing problems.
Note that you will drastically reduce the halo effect on the highlights,
since the IR bouncing back from the pressure plate is what produces it in
first place.
