Lee: Some EOS 5/A2/A2e owners that have had command dial failure have sent their cameras to a Canon Service Center for the fix. I have gotten the impression however, that those who have used Horizon Electronics in Union City, California have been more satisfied with the comprehensive service they've gotten there. Horizon replaces original plastic parts with metal ones and can, I understand, turn an A2e into an EOS 5 if requested--I don't know if that's possible with the A2 model however.
