All, I have an EOS 1 with the PB-E1 booster. There were two models of the PB-E1, the later one of which supported the use of Lithium AA batteries. I presume it was released at the time of the EOS 1n, as the EOS 1 cannot use lithium AAs in it's booster, regardless of which version it is (or even if it uses the PB-E2). The 1n can use lithiums, provided the later PB-E1 or the PB-E2 is used.
However I have no idea what the story is with the BP-E1 battery pack and the EOS 1. 8 x 1.7v lithium AA's may well cause problems for the EOS 1's electronics with the booster, but I've been unable to find out whether the BP-E1 battery pack fitted with 4 x lithium AAs will work correctly on the EOS 1. I use Ni-MH AAs in the booster, but would like to use lithiums in the battery pack. Can anyone help? Regards Gary This mail has passed through an insecure network.
