I shot a few frames at my local shop's Canon Days a couple weeks ago.  They
said if you didn't put your name on the waiting list when they announced
them, then it would be a long, long time before you could get one.  I live
in Iowa, and Canon USA in NY has ten for the state.  And they're already
spoken for by PJs.

It was cool though.  I just wish it had a video out and an LCD zoom.  And a
CMOS.  And 6MP.  The shutter was *really* sensitive on the one I had. (It
was a full production model)  I went to take a shot - just one shot - and I
probably inadvertently fired off three or four frames before my brain could
tell my finger to LET UP.
