I tried it with the 1v, using split image screen, with slow lenses (like the 28-135 IS) the screen is very dim. i eventually gave up the idea and went back to the original screen. if you have fast lenses, it is great to be able to focus manually but slow lenses was pretty bad (moral of the story)
