Hi All, I thought I'd ask everybody here about what they whould want Canon to introduce next year, and maybe Canon people will hear us and fulfill our desires.
I'd personally like to see that old 50-200L lens, at maybe like f4 all the way, with close focus and USM ring motor. I wonder, actually, why Canon held on to 100-300L 5.6 for so long, while introducing USM version in non L lens, plus those cheap 75-300 lenses. I find 50-200L would be more usefull. Has anyone ever even seen/used that old 50-200L? I've seen the non L version pop up every now and then, but never the L one. I'd like to hear from someone who uses/used one. Another lens I'd like to see - is a true Macro zoom lens, sort of like Nikon's 70-180. Which I got to use once and while AF speed was horrible, optics were very good. I know Canon has several prime Macro lenses, but I found that zoom would be more usefull in some situations. Of course, it would be nice if these two lenses would come out with the IS as well. So, any other thoughts, ideas?
