Sorry, I meant a MAXIMUM multiplier of 1.3x. Preferrably full-frame or thereabouts.
I've read rumors that the next CMOS-based DSLR from Canon will have two D30-sized CMOS sensors stitched together. This would bring the imaging area close to full frame, but at an aspect ratio other than 3:2 (the measurements would be about 30x22, closer to 4:3). I don't care about the aspect ratio (and you might see why if you read the other post), but the big imaging area is important.
