I believe it is just the super teles that have the carbon fiber hood...it is quite apparent on them as the typical shiney weave pattern can be seen around the mounting lip. All the other hoods I have seen have been some sort of regular (non composite) plastic, though the better ones have some sort of flocking on the inside, as do the carbon ones.
