EOS EF25 answers, I think.

After reading this I tried my EF25 on a EOS-3 and Elan-IIe using a 28-135mm
IS lens. I get a display and it hunts. I can focus manually and then the
in-focus circle lights solid.  I think you have a lemon, or it is
incompatible with the Elan 7.
