Hello Luca,

Exactly what type of AA batteries have you been using? On the EOS 30 (aka
Elan 7E), the battery pack specifically says not to use Lithium batteries.
That's coz fresh Lithium batts have too much power and the initial rush of
current can damage the camera's electronics.

Personally I have started using Energizer e2 titanium batteries, which are
alkaline.

Regards,

Lawrance Lee

Subject: EOS Anomalies on eos 50E

Hi all
Has somebody observed some anomalous behaviours on his Eos 50 E when coupled
with its battery pack? The mine seems to go crazy time to time and this
happened when I began to use the battery pack. For example sometime the
camera begins to focus without pushing the button, other times at the end of
the film it has rolled back it completely when I selected the function to
leave the last part out of the film case. Can it depend on the type of
batteries used?
Thanks in advanced
Luca Risso
