Hey All,

AFAIK Nikon has no white lenses in current production though I do recall
seeing some white Nikon super teles at one point a few years ago. On the
other hand, Minolta does indeed currently make white lenses, AFAIK they are
all faster "G" series lenses and are mostly teles though I do recall seeing
a particularly ugly Minolta 80-200 2.8 G zoom. The Minolta "G" series
lenses are intended to be the best lenses Minolta makes. Some of the "G"
series lenses test as excellent and some test as only pretty good, across
the "G" series line they are not as consistently good as Canon's "L" class
lenses or Nikon's newer AF-S series lenses but make no mistake they are very
good. Minolta does not have very many of these better lenses and also IMO
lacks the bodies to back them up. This may be why the pro galleries are
full of Canon and Nikon shooters and we know ALL of Canon's best long AF
lenses are white.

Regards,

Chip Louie
