Hi Peter, I use Kodak's Supra ISO 100 & 400 and they are both impressive films, especially when you consider the price. I tried 1/2 a brick of Fuji Superia Xtra 400 a few months ago and IMO it's not as good as Kodak's Supra 400. Of course this may have been the C-41 line it was run through at A&I but I find that A&I's line for other Fuji films I use to be excellent. A&I uses Fuji Crystal Archive papers normally and I had some other Kodak print film (Royal Gold 100 RA, Supra 400, Gold 100 GA), processed at the same time and they all looked great. Kodak's Supra 100 is a very fine grained film with excellent color and sharpness, I like it for use on people and subtle colors with very good saturation. Supra 100 film just "disappears" on prints, (did I mention that I like it?), and Supra 100 is now my "normal" ISO 100 negative film. Kodak's Supra 400 is also very fine grained, as fine a grained as most consumer ISO 100 films but with better contrast and maybe a little less sharp than Supra 100. Supra 400 also has a very smooth, natural look on prints. As a 400 speed print film, it should be in every point and shoot camera. It's what I load the T4 with and give to my wife when she wants good sharp kid pictures in all lighting conditions and I cannot be there to carry and use 20lbs. of EOS gear. I switched to the Supra films because they produce excellent prints and at only a very slight bump in cost over Kodak Gold or Fuji Superia Reala films. Just my .02 worth.
