Never heard of a product launch night Ethan. They send out data sheets and brochures when new stuff is almost available but that is about it - unless I've been struck off the invite list for being an anti-social bastard, which is possible. As for the 70-200IS goes I bought one last month - enough said? Now to have a look at the 16-35................ A point to note for EOSers, one of the reasons I went with the new CanoScan 4000 instead of a Coolscan was that CPS here support them as a photographic product thus providing consistency with backup and service, an important issue for me.
