A few Canon EF 35-350mm L lense questions:

How long is the lense at full extension (350mm setting)?

What are the minimum focus distances for the following focal lengths - 35mm,
50mm, 85mm, 100mm, 135mm, 200mm, 300mm and 350mm?

What are the maximum apertures for the following focal lengths - 35mm, 50mm,
85mm, 100mm, 135mm, 200mm, 300mm and 350mm?

I want to use this lense with a Canon EF 17-35mm as a two lense kit for
travel photography. How practical is it to hand hold the 35-350mm?

I use 400 speed print film. Is a monopod a necessity (especially at the
350mm end)?

My original idea was to use a 17-35mm + 28-135 IS + 70-200mm 2.8 IS + Canon
2X converter but weight was a concern.

If I get the 35-350mm, I will use it with the 17-35mm as a two lense kit OR
I will use the 28-135mm alone (one lense, lightweight set-up).

My requirements do not require a fast lense. The main advantage of the
70-200mm 2.8 IS is at the long end - 400mm f/5.6 IS. A bonus is having a
maximum aperture of f/2.8 from 70mm to 200mm.

The 35-350mm is just as fast (or slow) at the long end but no Image
Stabilization. If the 35-350mm had IS, I would choose this lense
immediately.

I plan to rent the 35-350mm lense to see if I like the lense.

Any suggestions or comments?

Take Care,

Collyer
