Hi Karen, Any news of the RC-1 infrared remote control? There are reports that it is no longer on the Canon Catalog, but no word yet of a replacement. Hmm. A wishlist for the RC-2 designers? Let me see: . Increased range (RC-1 was only 5m / 16 ft) . Programmable intervalometer (like the TC-80N3) . Fits in the hotshoe as an AF-assist (for Elan 7/ D30/ D60 users) . Built-in laser rangefinder (replaces distance scales on EF lenses) . Beeping when off the clip for too long (like the telephone) And who could go without these essential functions: . Barcode reader (actually useless, but a good selling point) . Light-level detector: great for unattended sunrise/sunset photos . CD-RW eraser (to recycle those photo-CD coasters) . Warming function (for overcast days or shooting in cold weather) And finally . A special "campfire" setting (disabled at Arches National Park) Can anyone think of functions that I "forgot" :-) Cheers Julian Loke * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
