Horizon Electronics has a permanent fix for the EOS 5 mode dial. They replace the plastic pins with metal, and the lock button is disabled.
The cost of the modification is $120.00. They will also convert the A2/A2E firmware (for $20.00) so a metering scale is displayed while you are in metered manual exposure mode. I bought my first EOS 5 body in late 1999, and it still had the same mode dial (which ended up breaking). on 3/12/02 6:57 PM, Jack Mah ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) wrote: > I know that this A2/A2e/5 Command dial issue has been > beaten to death but there seems to be some question as > to the fix.
