Personally,  I found that ACDSee is the fastest image viewer
with "explorer" type interface I've ever used,  but recent
versions (3.x and higher) are way overloaded with image
manipulation functions and web hokey pokey.  If I want/need
to work on a file,  I can always fire up Photoshop.  I'll
continue to use 2.3.

irfanview is smaller,  but not quit as fast.  It is also
free.

Could somebody explain what those database/management
functions in thumbsplus are used for?  I would have use
for a system which keeps track of the "history" of an
image,  i.e. which steps have been done to create the
effect,  and what is the original image.
