Hi Ken I, Or is that Ken II? I wish I could share your enthusiasm. I can vouch that R Sriram is absolutely correct about the AF assist and the fix (use Auto-Area AF). In fact, there are several threads on the Elan7E group http://yahoogroups.com/group/elan7e that also implicate the ST-E2 and the 380EX as being less than fully compatible with AF assist on the Elan 7E. For some more urban folklore, setting my 550EX to manual flash power causes my Elan 7E in P mode to blink at the lens minimum aperture. How do you explain that one?
