interesting thoughts.

However,  both your "Picture taker" and "Image Maker" seem
to be more involved in technical aspects of photography.

There are also those who don't care about equipment or
technique,  but who think,  "this will look much better at
dusk / dawn",  or "I wish this scene had a red canoe".

And neither one has to do with being or not being a pro.  A
pro gets the job done (even with a $20 disposable camera if
neccessary),  and makes a living off of selling his
photographs.  As long as it sells,  the photograph doesn't
have to be "good" (whatever that means).

On the other hand,  in certain areas,  e.g. as in Nature
Photography,  image quality is paramount.  Then the question
"is this a sharp lens" has to be asked.
