Mark Kay tested the EF 300 f/2.8 + EF 1.4x against the EF 400 DO IS and
posted the pictures to photo.net
When I look at the pictures, I can see the same bright-ring bokeh from my EF
100-400 IS zoom. See:

It would appear that the 400DO is not as sharp as all expected it to be.
As to the rings, it looks like the aperture diaphragm is not really round.
Can anyone validate this for the 300mm & 400mm DO lenses?
