CF4 = 2 links the AF Lock/FEL button to DoF. It's an awful compromise,
since I loose FEL for DoF, features that are *NOT* mutually exclusive and
actually both very useful in macro work.
The EC DoF doensn't work for me either, and I'm much happy with the DoF
button on the EOS30. The funny thing again, is that checking DoF with a
Flash, also activates the Flash preview, something unexpected when you're
thinking "DoF" and you get a blinding light instead. Still lots of work on
the User Interface of our EOS'es.... ;-) ;-)
