I have a DCS 520 digital camera, which is based on the 1N. Right now, I am spitting mad about a problem I cannot understand. Perhaps folks here can help me.
Replacement shutter reliability. My first shutter lasted 125K frames. Had it replaced by Canon. Next one only lasted 43K frames (less than 5 months). Replaced that one. This one lasted 300 (3 HUNDRED) frames. Total. Has anyone here had shutters replaced in their 1Ns? What kind of life did you get out of the replacement? Am I wrong in expecting the replacement shutter to also have a MTBF of 100K frames? I can understand how a fluke can occur once (45K frames). But 2 of them? Perhaps the enlightened ones here can help me understand the issues with my shutter.
