I have a 17-35/2.8L, and have been reasonably happy with it. But I noticed they now have a 16-35/2.8L out. I'm not really interested in the extra 1mm, but if it gives a sharper image or less distortion at the short end, then I would be interested.
I use it on my EOS-3 for some landscape or wide-angle shots. The tax man was kind this year, and I thought I could trade up for a reasonable sum of money. Any ideas? Is the 16mm that much better?
