I had an odd occurance with my new 1v yesterday, and
am wondering if anyone's seen anything similar.

This was the first day I've used my 1v with film in
it. I had my PB-E2 on an EOS 3, with fairly fresh
alkalines in it. All three battery indicators showed
when I did a battery check. I took the E2 off the
3 and put in on the 1v, and the battery icon showed
"full" on the 1v.

I shot two 35 exp rolls in the A.M., and didn't check
the indicator before turning off the camera. That
afternoon, I went to shoot some more and noticed the
battery indicator was blinking. I was a bit
surprised, but figured the batteries were weaker than
I had thought. But then thing got weird.

After I took my first shot, the battery indicator
stopped blinking and showed full again. After a few
more shots, it dropped to the 1/3 level, but not
blinking. But after shooting another roll, the
indicator shows full again.

If anyone thinks it's important, I was shooting with a
70-200 IS and a 2X (old model) converter.

Any thoughts or guesses as to what happened?

Thanks,
