Well, since you have owned both Nikon and Canon you must have some preferences. Personally, I like Canon much better mainly because of their lenses, no compatibility issues, etc. Even if the D100 is somewhat better then the D60 I couldn't care less. In one year both of these cameras will be outdated. Not that they are not usable anymore but the small difference between the D60 and D100 now will look insignificant compared to what the next generation digital SLR will offer. In contrast to your camera body the lenses won't be outdated that fast. So rather make your decision based on the lenses then camera body.
