I wish Canon manufactured a few more lenses like the 70-200 f4 L. that would
expand the range. Why? Moderate cost between the top end L lens and
inexpensive but lower quality consumer lenses. Very good optical and
construction quality. Also, moderate weight and bulk, which is concern for
travelers. One stop slower is a liveable compromise for the advantages
mentioned. These lenses would offer a suitable choice for the pro-sumer on a
budget. Just my thoughts as a Canon user.
