There is clearly shifting of the mount area on my 7E with the 300 f2.8 L lens - it is 
a consumer camera, and, as such is a lot of (good) plastic.  Even the 70-200 can be 
seen causing the front of the camera to flex a bit.  

Anyways, IMO, agree it simply should not be contrasted with a 1V - two TOTALLY 
different cameras, different markets, costs points, etc etc.  Consumer vs pro, no 
argument, proven by not only auto-focus speed but general build strength.  If you've 
never used a camera in active photojournalism, 5-6 days a week of hard use, you won't 
understand the real beauty of a 1V (or an F1, if you're my age!) which is why they're 
built this way.
