Hi, I recently bought the 28/135 IS USM. When using this with a very narrow diaphragm (high f-stop), eg f22, I see very much grain, especially in grey sky, dark buildings, ... . Especially when scanning these, it becomes very annoying.
To be honest, last weekend I didn't do the most clever thing: I used Fuji 400 superia negative film, but took some pictures in hot sunny weather. Some of them were terrible, just because of this grain/noise on them. Even the Nikon scanner's GEM could not solve it. So before blaiming the lens, a very simple question, 'am I wrong, or is there any relation with the lens or the f-stop being used?
