I was taking macro pictures and had MLU turned on with CF5 on my Elan 7. Then I turned off the camera. I grabbed the camera when my daughter started doing something cute, pressed the shutter . . . and the mirror locked up. I was forced to just point the camera in her general direction, fire the shutter, and hope that she is even in the picture. I guess there is probably a way to put the mirror back down, but I didn't think about it at the time.
