The STE2 flash trigger, when put on the camera without any flash, will function as an infrared focus assist. I use one regularly for inside barn events where the light is very low, (with brown dirt and brown horses!) and it works great.....used with the 135 f2L and 85 1.8....you can get it for under 200$US from Delta International....hope that helps.
