Can anyone tell me if the 550 requires batteries to be fresh in the internal holder while using an external pack (such as the Transistor Pack E)? Or is there something wrong with my pack and or flash? I've asked a few of the other photographers and they all think the same thing - that the HV input should bypass the internal power...however, to be honest, we all have never given this much thought before.
