I've been using my D60 and 550EX for a while now and (as has been debated to
death) the E-TTL flash is inconsistent when left to it's own devices,
especially using AF.

However, using the Flash Exposure Lock works very well, but is often
impractical/inconvenient/impossible.

I noted that more often than not, I was placing my subject under the central
focus point, locking focus, FELing and recomposing.

It struck me that a function that combined focus lock and FEL would speed
the whole process enormously.

What do you think?
