Still struggling between 28-135 USM IS or 28-70/2.8L USM. The latter one can be found for 800-850 US$ used in excellent condition, while the first one is 400 $ new. Does the sharpness of 28-135 struggles against the highly acclaimed 28-70L ? Would it be considerable step forward in terms of overall image quality (sharpness, distortions, flare control,...) shelling out additional 400-500 US$ for the L ?
