I was at an NHL game in California last week, and one of the pro
photographers shooting the game was using a 1Ds body with a 70-200 f/2.8L
lens. OK, no questions there. But he had the hood reversed on the lens
during the entire game. I searched through the archives for why someone
might reverse the hood while they are shooting, and the only possible
explanation was that a hood might not fit over a polarizing filter, which I
am fairly certain this guy was not using (he was shooting through a hole in
the Plexiglas). I reverse my hood when I put the lens in my bag, but if I
knew I would not need it, I'd leave it in there.

Any guesses?

Thanks,

Pattie
