I Am currently looking at a 1.4 Mk 1 And 2.0 Mk 2 extender for my D60. The 1.4 has a slight pencil size dot on the edge of the rear element,
The 2.0 has a 1.5 mm sq dot which appears gold in color that appears to jump about as angle the lens from side to side. I assume this means it is not on the rear of the rear element but one of the others surfaces. I have tried to remove the dots with a cloth, no joy. I will test the extenders this weekend to see if i can see any effects. But i was looking for help for some one more experienced on the list as to whether they thought the dots may be significant. I have been offered the extenders at about 30 % of the new price. Other then these dots they are mint.
