Hi Rob,

I understand a little better now, although I'm surprised that Canon discontinued the D60 *before* releasing a replacement. I will wait for the D80 or D40 to make an appearance, although I'd still be curious to know about the good or bad bits re the D60 and what a reasonable street price would be, if it is still stocked somewhere.

Regards,

Lawrance

Lawrence,

Giampi has sent a post about an announcement regarding the D60 on:

http://eosseries.ifrance.com/eosseries/lenscanon/news.htm

According to this information the D60 is discontinued and replaced by the
D80. In the past the information on this webpage was relatively accurate. If
indeed true, I am sure some of the big shops still have some in stock.

By the way, the website was created by Daniel Rocha. He once got a bit
attached on this list and I have the impression he stopped posting on this
ML since then. Anyways, I really like his work on the information he has on
his webpage.

Robert
