I will need a new camera bag for my EF 100-400 USM IS lens. If
possible, I want something tall enough to put the camera with lens
straight down into it with body on top, hood reversed. This would
require a medium sized bag I think, and should have room in the bottom
sides to hold an EF 20-30 USM and EF 50/1.4.

I will be hiking and walking with this bag mostly. Extra
pockets and goodies can be minimal. I need it light.

I might get a small backpack style bag, as I want a small
footprint but more height. I need something well padded and adjustable
if possible.

Hi,

I have the Pro Mag 2 from Lowepro. I was looking for a shoulder bag, rather slim,
and able to contain an Eos 33 with the battery pack, and a 70-200 in a vertical
position. It can hold also 3-4 more lenses (24-70 sigma, 100mm Canon, a flash).
You only have one pocket in front of the bag.

The bag is mediun sized and fits a motorcycle top-case.

You also have the Pro Mag 1 which is more slim, but can hold only two more lenses
besides the camera+70-200.

Have a look at the Specialist 80 or 85.
