Exactly, this is a general rule on all email list, and newsgroups. I
always reply below the quoted, most others do too, not just here,
everywhere.

I still don't understand the big deal. We're talking about a choice of
where to click the mouse. One still has to trim the quote, the list
footer, etc. After getting the quoted stuff right, one would have a
choice of clicking to reply above or below. Am I missing something
here?

By the way, for those who might not realize it, 'control A' selects
everything. Great when you want to delete all quoted stuff.

Another thing - if you select only what you want to quote before
deleting all, and hit 'control C', you can then past it back as a
quote with 'control V', after doing the above delete all.
