Hello all,

I think it has been a year or three since I posted, and probably my
messages didn't make much sense then... That's why I have limited myself
to reading all your words of wisdom (ahem, ahem) for some time now.

With all the recent discussions about the release of the 10D, one aspect
hasn't been covered though: a few weeks ago there was a rumour that
Canon would release two new digital bodies: a D40 and a D80. This would
in fact have made sense to me: one upgrade for the D60, at more or less
the same price, and one lower-end body, to really allow amateurs to get
into digital photography without having to spend a fortune.

Now the 10D is actually something in between: I know the AF system is
improved, and image quality tweaked, but it is just an evolution of the
D60, at 25% less...

So what is your opinion: will there be a 100D (following the 1D, 10D,
...)? I'm thinking about buying a 10D, but it still costs an awful lot
of money for a camera that will be totally obsolete in less then two
years, and which won't allow me to take wide-angle photo's...

Regards,

Wim
