I need to use a 1Ds for an assignment in LA in a week or so, and I wanted to know if anybody on this list had a good reference for renting one. My 1D isn't up to the task for this job (magazine cover) resolution-wise. I know Keeble and Shucat in Palo Alto and Samy's in LA rent these, but can I expect to get one in good condition from them? Bring lots of BIG CF cards or Nixview/Delkin stand alone storage drive to shoot in RAW mode. You can also try PIX on La Brea, I go there but don't know if they have EOS 1Ds bodies yet or not.
