Well of course.

The reason I ask is that one of my frequent uses of my 28-135 is
shooting concerts where flash and tripod are either awkward or
prohibited. Combined with the Elan 7's extremely quiet shutter and
fast film, it's a good combo. I can shoot even at a poco forte in
Bach and not be a distraction to those around me.

However, my movements *can* be a distraction. The answer to my
question could influence where I station myelf to shoot from in any
given concert. If I really would gain from finding a post or pew to
brace against, that's something to consider. But if I really could
get equal sharpness sitting in the third row and grabbing shots on the
fly, that would have its own advantages.

On a related note, I've been thinking alot about how good a 70-200
f/2.8 IS would be for this application. Probably great - anyone doing
this?
