Hi all,

I'm still following the release of the EOS10D here in Europe. The price
seems to be stable around EUR2000 with some exceptions in UK that go as
low as EUR1800 but only ship in the country.

With the US$ suffering an extra bump due to the war, the price of an EOS
10D in USA is about EUR1400 but ordering directly will make you go
through customs, with a 30% VAT+import duties, making it almost as
expensive as taking a train to UK and buying there.

My question is: I've friends in the US, if they buy a 10D with *their*
money and "sell" it to me as 2nd hand, can they put whatever price on it
for the customs? Let's say $500 or something? What are the possible
"workarrounds" without getting into trouble?

Kind regards,

Gerard.
