Change of Geographical location - As we have a guy working in Louisiana, I now have the opportunity of utilising him for US purchases. Tom is based in New Iberia and says there is a branch of 'Office World' (?) nearby that sells some photographic gear. He also says that he could go over to Lafayette (Sp?) to obtain anything I required. I will do a search on the web over the weekend to see what I can find, but if anyone can recommend dealers in that area it would be appreciated.

It is a hit and miss for those mid-small city camera stores. Sometimes they are excellent and have everything, other times you don't have as much selection. By ordering mail-order, he saves time (unless he likes to browse himself), you have a "guaranteed" selection and availability, and you save on state tax and on the purchase itself, which more than makes up for the shipping and insurance cost.
