Whoops, sorry. I somehow stopped reading after EOS 10D, which AFAIK uses the small non-eye-control viewfinder frame. You are right of course, it will not fit the 30/Elan 7. The adapter Ed II that Malcolm already uses for the EOS 3 should work there.
