Cullman makes a really great one (German you know!) that's reasonably priced, and Adorama or Porter's sells a neat one for about $100. I've used nearly all the ones available during the last 35 years and have settled on the Cullman. It is very stable, has a non-geared mechanism with a pressure lock and is definitely as a long as you'd ever want or need. No doubt the "Really Right Stuff" one is well made, but much too pricey for most of us. Novoflex does make a very stable one, but I find the gearing too cumbersome and restraining.
Good luck. I'm always open to other's opinions. Uncle Manny * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
