Well I bought a 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro. Waiting for the first roll to come back. I want to get a focusing rail. "Really Right Stuff" looks to have a nice one, $350.00 US seems to be a bit high, or is it?
If you get their standard 100 f/2.8 USM Macro rail, you get about 10mm of forward and backward slide due to the Arca/Swiss design. Works fine for me.
