Now do you mean the screen on the outside of the camera or in the 
viewfinder? If it's the viewfinder, it always says F on the 1N until 
you get to less than 10 frames on the roll. If it's doing it on the 
external screen, I've never seen or heard that one before. All I can 
say about that is call canon.
